Francois forty years old, unemployed, angry and tired of this life, crosses his “middle age” crisis. Determined to change, he gets into his car, and hits the highway, but lonely and without a dime in his pockets, he does not know how he will manage to continue his journey. His associability and free/out of this world mentality will unfortunatly leads him to a tragic end.
RESUME : G. just been discharged from the department store where he worked, because of his many gaffes, when a car accident with the largest publisher Dumoulin allows it to integrate its publishing house to repay the damage.

As a fan of the comic book Gaston Lagaffe I was really excited to see what they made of it. The casting include François Maistre better know as “le patron Faivre” in the famous TV series Les Brigades du Tigre and also Marco Perrin aka Mr Chanteau in C Comme la lune. The Double Bass lover like me will also be pleased by the music of the genius Claude Bolling, but unfortunatly those are the only highlights, maybe because Franquin the author of the comic book didn’t really give his support to this project, surely his collaboration would have made it better, but as we say in France ” Qui ne tente rien…”
